Default Help Please!!!!

Hello all! I am new to this forum and am in need of any help that anyone can provide. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. All and all I have been very happy with the truck but there are 2 issues that have plagued me. The first is that the door loock will intermitantly not work. I will press the lock button on the door and on my key only to have them not lock for me. After several attempts I am in most cases able to get them to lock for me. The other issue is a bit more serious. There have been several times when I have come out to my truck only to find that the windows have rolled down after sitting outside for several hours. This obviously is a huge issue in that it leaves my truck completely open and exposed to any one who wants to help themselves to the contents of my truck or the truck itself. When I take my truck to the dealership to have these 2 issues resolved (4 times now) they tell me that they can not find the cause of these problems nor can they duplicate them.
Has anyone else had similar issues or is there anyone that knows what the cause of this may be. I am looking for any help at all as I am taking my truck in for the 5th time this week and would like to go to them with any and all information possible.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

cant really help other than to suggest that you disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes and then see if that helps. I had the same issue of the windows rolling down on mine for one night. And it just happened that the night it decided to do it was when it was starting to rain and I had to babysit the d@mn thing to make sure it stayed dry. I disconnected the battery that night for a while to kill the power so the windows would stay up and I have had no issues since.

I know on my truck if you press unlock on the remote then press unlock again and hold it, the windows will roll down. This is a feature.

Just some info incase you didn't know. So the lock/window thing could be related.

The windows is exactly what drober explained, especailly since he is having issues unlocking. I can pitcure several pushes of the button, holding, ect trying to get the locks to work, which resulted in the windows going partially or all the way down.

As for the issue of the locks... It seems to happen and we have NO answer from Dodge as to why, generally you get the standard response of we can not duplicate. I fully understand that position, as you can not fix something you can not make happen/troubleshoot. Mine will go through spurts, give me fits for a day or two then go months without the issue. At one time I thought it may be some kind of interferance, but I do not buy into that anymore. I think it is inside the truck, only because on a very rare occasion my lock buttons inside do not work, then after pushing a few times they start. That is all hardwired obviously and has nothing to do with interferance of any kind.

I am not sure what happened but I changed the batteries in both FOBs and I haven't heard any complaints from my wife, and well I never go alone in that truck because getting my fat paraplegic *** into that truck is not easy. I don't go out that much so I bet I have put 2000 kms of the 11 we have..
