If your dealership is going to void your warranty for adding a different exhaust to your truck then I would suggest you find a different dealer.

They don't care as long as you don't touch the cat.

This will not void your warranty. If a dealer is telling you this, then they are either blowing smoke or they dont know what the hell they are talking about. the only point that will void your warranty is if you mess with the CATS, which are way up front anyway. what i did in no way messed up the warranty. you will be fine!

I asked the service department at my local dealership about changing the muffler out, and they said it would be fine.

the only part of the warranty it shold void is the muffler shouldn't affect anything else, has anyone ever replaced just the muffler and left the resinators and if so how does it sound

The dealer also told me that if you start messing with headers and cats, then you will likely have a warranty issue. I should have included that. Since Mopar offers a cat back for these trucks, it shouldn't be any different if you put you own system on.

Nobody has a Mopar cat back system, or even heard one? I guess I should take the hint

go to youtube and search for mufflex or magnaflow. Mufflex makes a direct bolt in muffler replacement. I have the 18". here is my youtube site with a before and after http://www.youtube.com/joshjac1

I am very happy with how loud it is now

I'm pretty sure Mopar is using the Corsa cat-back and putting the Mopar name on the tips. Look under Corsa cat-back on You-tube. There is a clip of a Corsa system on a 4th gen, which would be the same as the Mopar.
