1500 versus 2500

it is substantially more sturdy than my '10 1500. Frame, front and rear larger solid axles, bigger trans, 14" 2-piston calipers on all 4 corners etc... it is truly HD. I think my 2500 weighed more than 1000lbs heavier than my 1500 as well.

I like the civilness of my new truck but it feels like a Toyota Camry compared to my 3rd gen HD. That truck was all truck and felt like it was capable of towing heavy all day long. Of course it was "all truck" and sacrificed comfort and daily usability for that(the family hated it) so we needed something a little softer and swapped for the 1500 as it's awesome for everyday use. I gave up a good bit of truck capability though in the swap.

My $0.02... the 1500 has nothing on the 2500 from a work standpoint having owned both.
