Had the electronic locking tailgate part installed.
And I really like it. Now when I lock my truck, the tailgate automatically locks. No more messing with that little key that's inside the fob.
Dealer only charged me $50 to install.
I also had the black sport grill installed to replace my chrome one. Looks really good!

It is a great option, got it on mine also. One thing though, you should of also gotten a set of black keys with your fobs so you don't have to use the one inside the fob. Should of gotten 2 Fobiks and 2 black keys at delivery.
It is way cheaper to go the Pace Edwards route and I see Pop Lock has one now that works by the key or power I think, I have the Pace Edwards it unlocks with the drivers door. Easiest install I ever did. Except swapping radio for REN then that for a Nav unit. Dealer route is expensive IMHO and well way more complicated but you can unlock it if you have not power with the dealer unit but I wonder if my truck wont start do I have to get into the box, nothing in there, jumpers under the seat, tools also. My soft hard top tonneau locks close to the back so I guess a slim jim or something like that would get ya in. I just want the tailgate locked so it cant be stolen easily.
Don't know why you would think the Pace kit would be easier and cheaper? I paid $81.60 for my Mopar factory kit. Had 2 wires to run and connect, doesn't get any easier than that. No relays, no other junk or even feeding wires through the firewall. Could hook it up to open with either the front or back doors. I chose with the rears as normally you don't need the gate open.

Part is $98. I think the book time is 2hr to install but I had it done with my 30k service and dealer gave me a deal.
It does not look hard to install but since you have to connect it to the TIPM, I thought I would have the dealer do it and have it under warranty.
@topgun I did receive those keys and forgot about them... put them in the drawer and that's where they remained. Silly they give you a fancy fob and then a set of keys to work the tailgate/glove box.

I am saying cheaper if you don't have the locking tailgate already because then you need rods and some other stuff.
Here's a writeup I did on installing the Mopar kit.
