Default Coil spring spacers or airbags????

I was going to have 2.5 levelling spacers installed in the front end on my 2010 1500 TRX, and go with coil air bags in the rear ( I pull a 5th wheel trailer) I see now I can get a 1.5" spacer for the rear coils. So was wondering if anyone has used the rear spacers and would 1.5" give me enough lift for trailer pulling. I guess I could install the rear spacers and always add the airbags later if the spacers didn't do the job. Any thoughts or feedback appreciated.

First, you need to search the leveling kit thing. There are issues with leveling the TRX model. As for the rear, I would look at airbags. That is what I plan on doing and I am running the Mopar leveling kit now.

According to another post, they show pictures of TRX strut vs non TRX struts they are the same in every way except the TRX may have more preload on the coil than other models stock struts, physical dimensions are identical.

Preload gives more lift. They are the same at full compression of the strut, and full extension, but ride height is different, due to the preload on the coil.

Anyone with 1-1/2" of lift in the rear ever put it in reverse and get on it? Have someone else get in your truck and do that and watch your pinion dive down. Probably not a great idea if you are going to have a larger trailer behind you. Just my 2 cents from what I've seen. Again, only with 1-1/2" of spacer in the rear though.

So jball given what I have posted regarding my truck, what would you suggest doing to gain some added clearance, whether pulling a 5th wheel rv, or hauling a 600 lb. quad in the back. I was going to put 2 1/2" front spacers on, and am wondering if air bags or spacers would be best in the back end. This is turning into more of a "what should I do" type of project than I ever imagined. Maybe I should have stuck with GM or Ford with leaf springs, seems there are way more options with a leaf spring suspension. Thanks.

As far as i know there are no airbags for the front, google Firestone Air Bags, you'll find coil air bags there.
