Question left front tire cupping

Guys I have a 2009 CC 4wd larime. Truck has 40k on it. Left front tire is cupping. I also have a road noise that you can hear and feal around 30 mph. Definitely the noise is coming from the left front. So I decide to rotate the tires tonight. Found play in my left front tie rod. I always thought cupping comes from the lack of pressure holding down the tire to the pavement. Shocks do not show signs of leaking nor has a bounce that occurs when a shock is bad. When I did rotate the tire road noise and vibration is gone. So the tire is part of the problem, But it has to be an issue with the left front suspension that caused the tire to cup. Any thoughts?

Get them to ck the front end, may need alingment , mine is 2 wd and noticed mine early . If you have those goodyear you will need to rotate 4000 - 5000 miles
09 has 68,000 2 nd set of tires

Have them check the ball joints too. Mine needed both lower control arms - bad ball joints. Both front tires have strange wear on them now. Going to rotate them. Truck only had 20K miles on it then.

I only have 24K on my truck. All 4 tires have this cupping and the road vibration. Sounds like I have snows on. I rotated at oil change which was only once so far. Well that and when I had to replace the oil I lost due to the drain plug falling out.....But that is another story....

you have to rotate the tires, every oil change. if you have goodyears. go to a goodyear store, they will do it for free if you don't feel like doing it yourself.

and you should have an alignment at least once a year, weather youu think you need it or not. front end takes a beating, you know?

40K on the stock tires, time for new anyhow.... Like the others said, just have the shop look at it when it is on the rack. When I bought my Bridgestones they also threw in a free alignment, which actaully was on the money anyhow. Work the local shops for a package deal, these places really seem cut throat right now.
