Unhappy tire wheel combo don't fit!

Oh I super mad. I just received my 20x9 Moto metal 951s and mounted them to a 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have the 2009 Crew cab Laramie. The combo looks great, however in the front there is less than 1/16" between the upper control arm and the tire! I have a Top Gun Customs 2.5 level kit and the 1/2 spacer in the back. How can this be!

I also don't like the look of the 951s so they are already for sale over in the classifieds.

If I have the tire shop put the 305/55/20s back on my factory rims tomorrow will it be just as close to the control arm? I'm sick that I spent so much money on these wheels and tires and nothings working.

Ideas?

Start bitching because I bet you got the wrong offset! I have aftermarket arms that stick out further and my 951's are AWESOME LOOKIN! I actually ordered black and was mistakenly sent chrome, I like them so much I kept them!

If you run a finger behind the top of your front tire in between the control arm, how much space is there? I have less than 1/16". I can't argue that the wheels look great, but I'm concerned about the control arm wearaing out the sidewall in 5K miles......

Whoever sold you the setup should have known what would fit.

Put a spacer on it and call it a day. They come in different sizes and you wouldn't need more than 1/4" or so.

Your rim backspacing needs to be 4.5" or 5'' .That will clear your upper control arm,and look awsome, being brought out about an inch wider than factory stance....

negative. i go off-road and the last thing i need is some bolt breaking off and my wheel goin down the trail. using a spacer works, but if you go off-road, it puts more tention on the bolts that you put your wheel onto, more tention on less bolt. breaks....happened to my buddy

I bought some Gooyear DuraTracs & Vision Warrior wheels. Delivered Monday, they don't fit and sit right on the control arm. Discounttiredirect has been great, they are in the process of taking care of it.
