Mufflex Magnaflow 18" muffler trade?

Well, I was reconsidering trading or selling because I had it welded on. I really would prefer the 24" magnaflow on my rig. I find the 18" does have a little too much drone for me on longer trips. Short trips are great cause it sounds so good, but when cruising at 60mph it get's old fast. Then again maybe I'm too old .
I spent $240 on the mufflex system and $50 to have it welded up. Not sure if anyone would want an 18" muffler that's been cut off?

Funny, I was having the same problem as you cool. I went to visit the muffler guy yesterday and he told of a similar problem he had on his gf's hemi jeep (I think). His solution, put another muffler in front of the one you have. On our trucks there is plenty of room. He said it did the trick on the jeep and got rid of the drone on the highway while keeping the around town sound. He ordered me one and it's going on next week. I don't recall if he was getting an 18 or a 24 but the one I have now is an 18".
I figure I'm paying for another muffler either way so why not. THe only difference is it will be 1 pipe in and 1 out. That will flow into the 1 in 2 out. We'll see...

Alright, just ordered the 24" magnaflow muffler part # 12388 today to replace my 18". Should be here in a couple of weeks or less. I will be removing my existing 18" magnaflow and selling it outright for $50 including shipping to the lower 48. Let me know if anyone is interested. This muffler will be cut out by my installer but it does have the 3" input and dual 2.5" outlets. I'll post pictures and a separate ad in the classifieds once it's actually out.
This muffler has less than 250 miles on it. Never driven in rain or snow. Yeah, I own a garage queen, but she's still bad azz..... Let me know if you are interested.

Just had my 24" Magnaflow installed today and LOVE IT!!! I have removed the 18" and have it listed in the classifieds for $50 incl shipping to the lower 48. It only has about 250 miles on it. The 18" was wonderful around town and for showing off your 390 HP, but the 24" is more suited to my taste. She's mellow when driving normal, but can get serious once you lay on the gas. For anyone worried about the 18" being too loud, buy the 24". It's the best of both worlds. Did I say I LOVE IT? 24" Magnaflow, the only way to go. I'm 42 years old with a 2 year old. You younger fellas get the 12" or 18". You'll still get loads of compliments. I could not fuel up at a station without someone coming up and asking is that a stock truck? They thought I had some built motor hiding under there....
