I was looking at a Dodge RAM 1500 that had ALL of the optional eqpt of the SPORT (20" tires dual exhaust etc.) but was listed as an SLT? The Dodge Build My Own Web Site wont list the 20" tires and dual exhaust for an SLT. What's going on?

If it had 20" tires dual exhaust etc. it was an SLT with Big Horn/Lone Star pkg. -or- SLT with Sport pkg
I asked this question when I first got my truck. It didn't fit either. So I have an SLT Sport. Not a Laramie. I have the body color front fascia, Chrome grille and the 20" wheels. But it is listed as an SLT. Just wait till you plug these into any of the tire size searches. There are a bunch of options that you have to choose from. If you plug in an SLT it gives a 17" tire as the OEM size. Plug in sport it comes up 20". But my paper work says SLT.
It is an SLT with the Sport Package. I thought the "Sport" was it's own category, and I guess I expected the wondow sticker to say Dodge Ram 1500 Sport...not SLT.
Same here; my "Sport" is an SLT on the sticker. It doesn't really matter; you will end up paying for the extra stuff one way or the other. When I finally oredered my sport, I just removed a few options (sunroof and side rails) and got what I wanted.
I had to buy mine sight unseen [09 rambox crew cab]
The sport had the colored bumpers and on the bucket seats had a leather strip on the sides.
The SLT had chrome bumpers and had the cloth buckets . I went with the SLT lonestar pkg. I am in and out of my truck alot during the day. Did not want the leather breaking down on the sides
The sport comes with 355 rear and the slt has the 321 , I drive a lot of miles [68,900] 19 months so gas milage is good .
I bought an SLT Sport. Body colour bumpers, dual exhaust, 20" wheels aluminum with chrome plastic "covers", center console, leather fabric seats. I think that is what makes it the "Sport", at least for Canada. I also have the sliding rear window.
When I odered mine I went with the sport I have an 05 sport now, I would have gone with the big horn because I really like the chrome since the painted bumpers chip but they only come with that ugly *** interior
