Default Can OEM and Aftermarket co-exist?

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quadcab (NON Alpine system). This is my first Ram, so I'm kind of new at this. That said, I am not happy with my stock radio and I want a backup camera. I'd like to do a combination of Aftermarket and OEM on this. I want to have the Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT installed, as well as the stock backup camera (MOPAR 82211184) that replaces the tailgate latch. Is this possible? Also, what are the front/rear stock speaker sizes? I'm thinking about going with a complete Pioneer Stage 4 sound system. Thanks for any help.

How much do you want to spend? Personally, tried the route of keeping some of the factory stuff but in the end found it easier to just start from scratch. New head, amps, speakers. I didn't keep any of the original stuff and that ended up being easiest, just costly.

If I recall they are 5x7 in the doors but with an adapter plate you can put 6.5" rounds in there. There is a deepness issue on the fronts but but with the round speakers there wasn't much issue.

I have no budget - nothing but the best for my new truck. The bass is going to be the hardest. I could go with the OEM Kicker concealed sub, but I think that I'm just going to raise my back seat up an inch and have a custom box made. The head is going to cost me about $1200, Component Speaker system $800, Amp $500, and two 10in bases $1200. Throw in another $300-500 for wiring/mounting hardware and a custom box. I'm also looking to do a 6" body/suspension lift (probably $4000-5000?) as well as get a $300-$400 toolbox for the back. I'm looking to have all of this done by next spring.

Sounds just like what I did...after screwing around with the factory system for awhile. I tried converters, etc to pull off the factory harness but it just came out sounding like crap.

Did the Kenwood DNX9960 - sounds good but wouldn't use it again. Very slow and hangs up alot - especially with ipod. Focal components in the doors, two JL amps under the back seat - one for the speakers - one for the subs. Did a pair of JL 10" under the seats. Got a box off ebay - some place in FL, that worked very well. I didn't need to raise the seat at all. Ran all new wiring to the doors, amps, battery, etc. Total from scratch. Would say I was a good 4-5k all in.
