Default Seat cover recall

Took my truck in for oil change and new inspection sticker and was informed there was a recall for front seat covers to replace, dealer had to order them, my seats have never wrinkled and wonder if I should let them change them, I guess since mine are a year and 1/2 old it will be nice to get new ones

leather bucket seats,I asked if it was front and back seats ,I thought they might let me change to the dark slate color instead of saddle I have now but it is only the bottom of the front 2 seats I just hope they have an upholstery man to do it, a friend told me to just ask for the seat covers and save them but that probadly wouldn't work since its a recall

Awesome, I think. In June 2 days before my truck was officially a year old, I gouged the seat with a pencil that was in my pocket!

I wouldn't letem touch the seats if there's nothing wrong with the ones you have. A year ago I had mine replaced twice because of the infamous "wrinkling." I wish I would've kept the originals, the two sets that replaced the originals have never been right. They're "looser" and I can feel hard plastic in places where I shouldn't due to poor installation. I finally gave up but I'm getting them recalled since there's nothing to lose

This is probably a RRT, not a recall, as it has nothing to do with safety.

Ya I was gonna say, and they don't normally tell you of recalls during and oil change.

Dealer called it a recall? just mentioned as he was writing up ticket( I also was bringing it in because the defroster actuator behind the dash was clicking), he just said oh theres a recall on this truck, let me look it up, not a big deal, I would have liked the darker slate color, I wear blue jeans to work and lighter color seats seem to have discolored some, my 04 had the dark slate

I am amazed how they are giving in so easy these days. Before something like that they would tell you, your jeans are wearing it out wear jogging pants.
My kids 08 Avenger just the drive seat webbing is wearing out fraying more like it and it had just under 30000km we took it in and no questions asked they ordered a new bottom and its in. We think we may have figured out why it was happening and will let them know so they can warn against it. Velcro closures on pockets. Not to say for sure or they just wore out. Anyway I am sure YES doesn't care they want to keep selling so they make everyone happy.
