After trip to the dealer questions
Can anyone get the correct answer? I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 ST quad cab. I changed the factory power/heated mirrors to factory mirrors power/heated with turn signal and puddle lights. The mirror and heat work. The lights on the mirrors do not. ?????
The door control modules both had the pin and plug in for the units. The units fit perfect and plugged in directly without complications.
The signal and lights still did not work
I went to the dealer and was told the factory units will not work.
The wire harness in my truck does not support the unit and the program download would not enable the mirror lights.
Can somebody (DODGE ) provide an answer for this problem

OK, I had just the opposite happen today. I took my '09 Hemi to the dealer today for recall K17 (HVAC controls). On my drive home, I noticed the fuel saver indicator come on. It has NEVER been on before. From what I understand, they hooked the truck up to a computer today to see if it had the bad HVAC component. I don't know what they may have done to make the lamp now illuminate.
Anyways, do we know for "certain" that MDS is on when the lamp comes on? If so, that system is seamless in my truck as I've never been able to detect it coming on/off.
Thanks.
