Exhaust leak. :(
How long did it take you? Did you replace the gasket while you were at it? Any pics?
An exhaust leak sound coming from the front end of the vehicle when cold that goes away when the engine comes up to temperature is a classic tell-tale sign of a manifold leak. The heat swells the gasket which in turn seals the leak.
Header bolt head snapped, I'll almost guarantee it. I just had to replace the rear two on the driver's side on the 4.7 in my Grand Cherokee, EXACT same symptoms. You're under warranty - take it in. I'm not, but thankfully there was enough thread sticking out on both of them and I was able to take them both out with my fingers...

Had this fixed on my '09 in August of 2010 with 28,400 miles on the truck. Just started hearing this exact same sound again in the last few days. Truck now has 56k. Any chance the dealer might fix this again at no cost to me since its a reoccurring problem? or am i stuck with it this time? anyone else have this issue more than one time?

On the passenger side I had to replace the gasket cuz I had to remove the manifold to get the broken bolt out.
On the driver side I only changed the bolts. I took one out at a time and tightened before taking the the other one.
I took the wheel and liner out to get plenty of space. Make sure you let the truck sit for a couple of hours before starting. The manifold and head hold the heat for a loooong time..
