Buying an '10 Laramie on Friday (9/17).. question about getting the right options
Mines got 3.21 gears too this was because I was a little naive and didn't know any better, why/how cost effective is this?
I'm going to do the 3.92 swap in a couple weeks. Need to research a how to but I think all I need is a backlash gauge. I'll double check.
So far I added the trailer brake, bluetooth and backup camera. Next is airbags for the springs

Good luck. Gears are something that many guys will not mess with, one small error and you can have serious problems. I have been turning a wrench for quite some time and gears are something that I leave to the experts...
Bought the same truck, have a lockpick on my RER (with nav) and hook up my wireless back up camera (on camper) to the aux input (add on when purchased the lockpick). It works great. I tow 6500lbs with ease, previously had a 2003 ram with hemi and 3:55 gears. The combination of the older transmission and those gears resulted in hard shifting and higher than needed RPMS when in wind and up hills but it still towed OK (only had OD off switch). The new one has the tow/haul mode, nice console shifter, and 3:92 gears which makes it much better with less downshifts. Towed most of the summer and I can say that I got better mileage towing and not. Towing with 2003 got 7-8MPG with 2010 it's between 8-12MPG. Got 12MPG avg on the first trip so must have had the wind behind me the whole time. Ride is pretty much the same towing with the 2010 vs the 2003, no add-on accessories except for same equal-i-zer weight distribution. The 2010 Laramie 1500 crew 4X4 is rated to tow around 9500lbs so unless you have a major tongue weight you should be fine. I tried a K&N cold air intake on my 2003 and all it added was major noise, couldn't hear the nice borla exhaust so I removed it.

Mike,
I have the same hitch as you (mine has sways as well) and when I loaded the trailer on the truck (unladen) the truck sunk to the bump stops. Maybe I have to go back and adjust the height of the WDH. Currently its at its highest setting, which made me think that would put less weight on the hitch.
I suppose I need to go out to etrailer.com and watch another how-to on the WDH! The airbags also came in, so I'll be doing those this weekend. And I agree with you on the K&N, a drop in is just fine.
