Default Bilstein 5100s DIY?

So, yes, I have a TRX4, I bought the 5100s. And have an appointment for a shop to put em on.

But my question is, can I do this job myself? Do it take a spring compressor?

Anyone with experience would be a HUGE help

The fronts are super simple to swap, just pull the tire off. The backs are the pain (it used to be the opposite). The top bolt on the rear is tucked above the frame into a channel for the top shock support. It can be done put takes patience. The rear driver side is above the gas tank and with lots of patience and effort can be done. I did it and cussed the whole time. Start with the rear shocks and work to the easy ones on the front. You'll be glad you did. The only easier way for the rears is to raise the bed for above frame access.

EDIT: No compressor is needed for the fronts! Just unbolt and drop to the floor.

You can't pull the strut apart w/o a compressor on a 4WD.

Didn't think to ask about 2WD or 4WD. Nice compressor! Beats the two-piece ones.

So after the install do you have to have the front end alignment done?

Well I am just doing the front shocks. Just want to level it. I'll make sure to take some pics.

Anyone have any advice on the headlights afterwards?

I was thinkin of marking where they were shining before hand...then after..
