Default Tube steps

OK. Only had the 1500 for 2 weeks and the wifey says the first thing are tube steps or running boards, ( exhaust/leveling kit, ). I remember many years ago the tube/running boards steps were flimsy and never fit right. I would think they are much better now. I want the ones that will cover both doors, (one piece per side) not 2 piece ones. Which ones did you get and where? thanks. Also, ease of installation.

If it is a quad cab I have the Mopar ones I took off of mine, They look pretty good and seem sturdy. Installation requires hex rivnuts, which I hear can be a bit of a pain.

I have a crew cab and I got mine on e-bay for half of what the dealer would charge. I installed them myself and the rivnuts are a pain. To be honest I really don't like them myself but my wife, kids and my mother are pretty short so to make life a bit easier for them I put them on. Now let’s see how long I leave them on before I get tired of them.

Westin Platinum Chrome Series Bars (chrome over stainless steel). Purchased here:

http://www.runningboardworld.com/wes...2009-2010.aspx

Stout hardware and easy installation. Took me 30-40 minutes for both sides.

Installation instructions can be found at http://www.westinautomotive.com/page...IS-25-3560.pdf.

No, no, no.... Check these out:

Your Specific RAM:

N-Fab is a awesome company, and these will cover both of your doors, plus a step for the bed. They are one piece, which is the reason i like them better than the GoRhino Dominator III ones (see link below). The GoRhinos look like they are a two piece system joined in the middle, from the pictures I've seen. The N-Fabs come powdered coated flat black, but if you call them I believe they will color them to match your vehicle for a little more $$$. Yeah, I know, your thinking *Hell they cost $500+!!! But don't settle, then you'll just wish you had the best later. Just my .02

Well if you have the honeycomb grille and the design on top of your rear bumper the Mopar ones have honey comb design that matches the rest of the truck if you have anything to match that is.

My Ram truck is two weeks old as well. I just bought Smittybilt nerf bars for $175 from 4wheelsparts.com. Took about an hour to install. They look pretty good, cab length, and they have a pretty good warranty. I figure if they last a few years, I would get my money's worth out of them.
