Default Who can I call to complain?

Im fed up with the metal on this so called truck! Ive owned it for two months and have two dings on it. I also have a ripple in the bed side from leaning on it when putting my stuff in the back. It really sucks because I love everything else about this truck. I just dont understand why a Honda has thicker sheet metal. I thought we were talking Ram tough!
My 2006 Ram was night and day stronger then this model. Does anyone know who I could contact about this? I was told by Dodge that they changed metal suppliers and its now coming from China. Man this sux! I would have paid a extra 1k for thicker metal.

I agree. I was just noticing how thin the door edges are when open, and that is with three thicknesses of metal. Scary thin.

Incase anyone hasn't noticed, look down each side of the doors, were the door handles are fastened! In all four corners of the handle, the metal is pulled in a little bit.A noticable contour distortion where the handles has been installed. This really sucks a big ##$%^^&&....I never really noticed how thin the metal was until reading this post.As soon as I did,I had to go look for myself.A new design yeah! But I think Quality control was not a factor on the production of the sheet metal for these trucks,I think it was all about cutting production cost, and charging people out the &*@$$$ to purchase one of these trucks.

They are also after bigger MPG numbers. Lighter materials means better MPG.

All the manufacturers are using thinner sheet metal. We have an '08 GMC at work and the bedsides are rippled bad.

the chevys/GMCs all have those bedside issues. my buddy thought his truck had hail damage when he purchased his 2008 chevy silverado. welcome to the modern MPG initiatives; next steps:
no tailgate or optional
front wheel drive on 1/2 ton full size
aluminum
etc

I Just traded out of an 09 Jeep Wrangler when I bought my Ram and the Sheet Metal was so thin on the jeep I could push the fender in a few inches just by leaning on it.

I owned a 2007 Silverado Z71 before I bought my Ram. It was an 8 foot bed. Unbelievably thin! The Ram has a much thicker feel to it. Its not as stiff as my '99 Ram was, but it feels sturdier than a GM by a long shot. Also, the more body lines and creases put into a panel, the stiffer it will be.

Call the EPA and Congress to complain. They set the CAFE standards that all the automakers are trying to meet by reducing weight. That's who you can complain to. Calling Chrysler will do you no good, because they have a higher authority to answer to.
