I don't use Nitrogen in mine, but instead fill them with Nitrous Oxide. That way, when I have a flat tire, I can at least enjoy changing it...

hmm..That would be the best flat tire ever, except..If it's flat, you wouldn't have anything to enjoy?...lol

The entire reason Nitrogen was ever introduced in the automobile industry is because Nitrogen is standard and has been for years on Airplane tires because of the super high heat they endure. Pure Nitrogen simply doesn't expand at the same rate the natural air does..which by the way is 78% nitrogen..lol So, any descrease of expansion will help prevent a blow-out from a high heat situation.
Airplanes have tubes in their tires so they are 100% Nitrogen filled.
Car tires get seated with natural air and there's no way it can all be sucked out..Just not possible. So, say there's 10% air in there. That's 7.8% Nitrogen that's already in there. So, you end up with 98.2% Nitrogen in your tires. That's only 21% more Nitrogen then filling up with Compressor air.
Anyways, Car tires will NEVER see the heat that would make the extra 21% Nitrogen worth the time or expense.
The ONLY time Nitrogen will be noticed is when a vehicle has been sitting for months on end or is succeptable to subzero weather and even in those conditions, the beneifts are extremely negligible.
Nitrogen does NOT give you better mpg's, does not increase the life of your tires..etc. Normal maintenance increases life of your tires and will result in better mpg's.
And who are they to put green caps on my ride? I would hate that...lol
I've said enough.

I'm not trying to be be sarcastic or funny here...so I was wondering, what would pure oxygen do for your tires if anything? Seems to me that nitro would have been dangerous but evidently it's not, and pure oxygen is flamable and dangerous but there's no telling, lol!

Technically...

Its 23.2% Oxygen/76.8% Nitrogen by Mass and 21% Oxygen/79% by Volume...

I used to use nitrogen. I weld so any inert gas is free to me. Then I switched to Hydrogen. I figured this way if I get a leak I see water coming out of the hole. I know right where the leak is. Well just to let you know my neighbor stopped smoking when we were checking on a leak and KaBOOOOOOOM! Now I use compressed air in his wheel chair tires....

Default Helium?

Maybe Helium is the answer? Maybe my heavy beast of a truck will lose a few pounds. I could just fill them up at McDonalds at the next kids birthday party there (if they still have them). They've all but killed off Ronald.
