Looking for an answer regarding flashing after installing an OEM brake controller for a 2010 1500 CC 5.7L. Specifically, what chip is flashed after installing the brake controller? I ask because I know you’ll get charged if you take it in to the dealership just for that reason. I’m thinking it will be the PCM that is flashed for the controller to get picked up in the EVIC?

I’m taking my rig in for the HVAC Control Module Programming recall and am not sure if a flash is required after the fix, and if so, will the flash cover the brake controller install. I’m thinking the recall flash will be for the BCM, vice the PCM?
