Nitto Mud Grapplers all the way!!!!!!!Excellent traction in deep snow,good highway manners,and aggressive looks..Best snow tire I have ever owned.Try a set,and you will not regret it.

Good highway manners?!?!?!?!?! I had a set of Mud Grapplers on a Wrangler I had. I LOVE the tire, but even Nitto rates them as below average on both dry and wet pavement. They are also the 2nd loudest tire (after Boggers) I've ever heard. They also wear down pretty quick on concrete.
I'll give you that they are very good in deep snow, but are downright treacherous on ice and hard pack.

I'm not trying to hack on your tire, because they were the best mud tire I've ever owned, but I don't think they are the best bet for the OP's intended use, personally.

Always more ICE [BLACK ICE] than snow ... If does snow it might stay 2 days on the ground .. When I ride my HD we ride most year round. I have a buddy on line that is in Green Bay , has to store his HD in a heated storage???
