time for new tires

I'm a pusher for Hankook's tires. Been very happy with them. I logged just over 45,000 on a set on my 1997 ram and they still had well over 50% tread wear. Really never noticed a decrease in my fuel economy either.

I have to say though, I can't say that picking a General tire would be a good idea at this point. There is a reason why you find that brand on factory rigs. They wear VERY quickly. People who have them, love them until they see that they don't hold up. Cooper Discoverer line might be another idea for you.

where can i find the weight of different tires?

check the manufacturers website. I've found Tirerack.com also lists the weight of most tires.
