IMO amber lights are ugly. But just a personal preference. When its time for my stock bulbs (which suck) to be replaced, I want to match them all with bright white/ very slightly bluish bulbs.
Any suggestions?
They might be ugly, but work extremely well in foggy situations.......
Personally, I like the look of amber fogs ... and I agree that they work better in fog/mist conditions.
I still haven't figured out how to change these out either. Need more time to look at them.
Also, seems like the fogs only go on when the headlamps are on. Or am I missing something? I tho't they would go on when the first click is done and the amber parking lights come on. Mine only work with the switch fully turned to the right.
Crap! I guess i didn't explain that too good. Yeah I meant the inside part of the Headlight switch....
I tried it on the way home from work. Yep .... punching the middle of the lighting dial does light up the fogs.
Thanx !
Now, all I need to do is wait for one of you to change over the fogs to amber.
On another note, I felt the headlights on the Laramie were pretty week. Shop dialed them up a bit to a higher level. Now that I have the ReadyLift kit on the truck .... the beams are tooooooo high ! Folks are flashing me.
Is lowering the headlights a big deal?
You really need to bring them lights down. Have the dealer do it for you since they are the ones who jacked em up.
Agreed. But, I gotta tell ya .... stock position of those lights (and I have the high out put deals) is pretty poor. I drove at night for the first time and could see maybe 20 feet in front of the truck. Tho't only the fogs were on .... which are brighter than what I was experiencing.
But, yes ... they do need to come down a bit now that there is 2 inches more height in the front. In fact, they shoot OVER cars when I pull up behind them. Not kewl.
