Default Lowered the 4x4's rear end

I took my 4x4 to a shop this morning and had one coil cut off from each of the two rear coil springs. I had read that cutting off one coil would drop the rear end by 2" but it only dropped by 3/4". Has anyone else tried this? I attached two photos of it. It makes a slight difference but not as much as I had hoped.

Better question is: What kind of hillbilly shop would actually cut coils?

There goes warranty on ANY rear end issues and I could even see the insurance company balking on any accident claims with the suspension modified in such a manner, especially in a towing/hauling mishap...

I wouldnt suggest putting anything heavy in the bed. Towing will be affected too.

Damn, I know Independance is a semi SMALL town, but jeez... At least shell out for a drop kit instead of just hacking the coils. WOW

The only drop kit for a 4x4 is the Groundforce 2/3, which is not available yet. Besides, I did not want the front end lowered, I only wanted the truck leveled out some.

Why didn't you get a leveling kit installed if you wanted it leveled ?

He wants the truck leveled without raising anything, which I understand since I hate the look of a truck with the front end raised to level. I don't see the big deal here I've heard multiple cases of this being done without issue. The coils have already been cut so take the truck back and have another section hacked off so the truck will sit level. If theres a problem then buy new coils.
