got the truck back today, they reset the engine code . could not find a problem... They did find a pionnon seal that had a leak, replaced the seal .
The tech look at the platium spark plugs and said they were good, and not the problem.
I have the max care warranty , 100.00 deduct. back on the road again

Had the same thing happen at 35,000 miles. Left the dealer and experienced vibrations. Took it right back and the mech re-torqued the pinion nut.

10,000 miles later the inner pinion bearing blew up. Out of warranty at that point.

How can it be out of warranty. did you buy it used, even then the original warranty is transferable is it not, even an 09 can only be 2 years old, does not the engine have lifetime for the US?

Sorry, forgot to specify that it was my 05 Dakota with the 9.25 axle.

As for transferability of the 09 Ram warranty...someone on this forum claims that the lifetime drivetrain is not transferable (for what its worth)
