Default How do I custom tune my Diablo?

I have been running a Diablo Predator for about 10 months. I was wondering how I can get the chip to program to the right settings. I had been getting a slight knock at WOT, so I messed around with the spark ect and it helped, but I don't know what I did. Is there a program that will set this thing for me so Im not hurting my truck?

Like seriously if I get told by another Diablo representative to try and translate their hieroglyphics on their website in order to figure how to update and load my predator to my computer I am going to crack skulls

Check out their forums for a more detailed how to on the update process.

As for the custom tuning bit, you either have to buy their software to do it yourself, or contact someone who will do it for you.

Steve over at RDP WILL write tunes for your truck if you call him and talk to him about it.

That's strange you're getting knock at WOT. Are you running a lower octane then the tune you've selected? You can contact Diablo, they have several tuners that do an awesome job, via email.

Just curious, how do you like the Diablo with the new Ram? I'm considering purchasing one now, while the holiday sales are coming out. I've had one with the Charger I own, and had a CMR tune (local tuner I know) done this year, after the engine upgrades were done, and absolutley love it! Just curious how the before and after is with the '09 Eagle intake with the canned tunes on the Diablo are.

You have to understand with him at least, that he is still running the orignial tune that Diablo came out with for these trucks. There were many complaints about that tune causing spark knock at full throttle.

From what I gather, he has been unable to update his tuner via Diablo's website and that's where most of this thread is focused.

That said, I have used the DSP on my truck with a more updated tune and it has no predet that I can tell. Once we put it back on the 2009 that it came from, it didn't suffer from it either. Diablo fixed the problem quite awhile ago.

Okay, I see what he's stepping in now. I didn't realize or know they had a disruptive crom on their tuners orginally, good to know they've corrected the problem.

So where are you headed with this? Are you looking for a custom tune or are you simply looking to update the one you have now from Diablo?

I mean, I obviously would just like the update in the meantime while I try to find someone who can custom tune the programmer after I put in the K&N. I am horribly bad with software, and the guys at Diablo work quite frankly obscenely disrespectful to my disposition in computers. The entire time I was on the phone with him, I could sense his displeasure of remaining in the conversation, it may has well of been a robot speaking to me, or perhaps an overseas man from India.
