My first winter with the ram and no problems that last three days driving in snow. No problems with the shifter. Sport with centre console shifter.

Two heavy straw bales and stock GoodYears without any problems!

I'm not sure if people realize this, but the whole issue described above is related to a very specific type of snow. The 'perfect snowman' snow that is wet and slushy enough to ball up easily and pack into places. Normal dry snow isn't going to do this to the same degree. And the snow has to be sitting on unplowed roads in sufficient depth to get flung up as you drive through. If the road is plowed it obviously won't have any chance to build up because there is nothing to throw around.

I had it happen to me lastnight. im in mi and and was driving to get my machine ready to plow a parking lot. when i went to put it in park it wouldnt do so. i had to slam the shifter fast and hard(thats what she said). i have a slt big horn with the center console floor shifter. yet i never once put it in 4 wheel drive. i was doing about 60 and she kept on line others were going slower and spinning out. i love my truck in winter time

we had a sort of warm day here today 50 this morning. Normally 25-30. I got under the truck and mocked up my GoPro camera so it pointed up at the tranny shifter. When it snows here I will be ready to pop it in under the truck and see what I get. Might be a while before we get any slushy type snow though. Not even calling for any substantial snow for the next few weeks...

But I am ready! Just hope the camera doesn't get covered first.

Better point it backwards, not forwards.

Well we have had the exact described type of snow...bout 6 inches. My wife drove it around to work and here and there and she drives like a guy would not a woman. Anyway knock on wood but I haven't had any issues. I was wondering if it is only 4x4's maybe throwing the snow with a spinning tire...we both coast on corners I don't like the way these GoodYears drive on corners so we slow right down and then when around back on the gas even in 4 wheel. I have Sport, Mopar molded flaps, stock 20 tires,no suspension work. Well I hope the problem gets fixed. When I was under installing my front cam I noticed the front fasicia comes under the truck a ways back I almost could not reach. I wish I would have read this before I would have looked at the shifter linkage.
