Default Magnaflow Y-pipe

Hey guys,

Just ordered a magnaflow y-pipe off of authoanything.com for $25 w/ free shipping. I'm pretty excited for it to come in and will definitely take some pictures once I put it on. Anyone have an good experiences with the magnaflow y-pipe?

Here's a link to the pipe: http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2680A0A0.aspx

I'm presuming its to free things up in the stock y pipe location? If so, I remember my brother did the same upgrade on his 3d generation ram. I can't say for sure if it actually did anything, but it was an interesting piece of mind knowing that that area of restriction was no longer a part of the exhaust system that "could" be robbing HP ect. Def get up pictures because I was thinking of doing the same thing.

I did the same thing, $25 from autoanything, and my muffler shop put it on for $60 more. Now granted I don't have a hemi, I was very happy with the mod, really opened up the exhaust. I could tell a difference in my trucks powerband (higher rpm).

Ok guys, got the y-pipe installed today. Took a little while as there were a lot of bends and getting everything in the right place. Check out some pics and a video below.

I did that on my 2008 4.7.....the mid and upper range definitely felt stronger.

Awesome thanks man. I'm excited to add this mod. There has got to me some restriction in some form or another in that crimp. I crawled under neath just to get a peak at it today; I was sorely disappointed with Dodge's decision to crimp the flow like that. This modification will certainly at the very least open up some volume.

It would be interesting to see before and after tork numbers on a dyno.I noticed it myself when I had my magnaflow installed. Why'll you may have gained abit in the mid to upper end,I bet you may of lost a little on the lower end.A lot of engieering goes in to this stuff.
