2011 Ram, Garmin GPS questions
When having the GPS on navigate voice commend to give you directions, the voice is very faint when the radio is playing. I can't seem to find the volume controls for the Garmin GPS for voice directions. Secondly, shouldn't this over ride the radio when it sounds a voice commend to turn at the next road?
With my cell phone, when I receive a call it over rides the radio.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

There is an option to change the volume. I think when the directions are being spoken, raise the volume by either the steering wheel control, or the manual dial. It should raise the volume of the GPS. Kinda like the Uconnect.
The 730 RER is only available in a Laramie...
Truthfully I didn't like it.. I know the 730 RER has issues too but I felt like I was watching a cartoon with the Garmin..
I will say the Garmin had features our 730 dosen't have..

Yes, Garmin is what there using for the GPS in 2011. At this point, I'm not impressed, mind you I haven't really used it yet. I have only driven it a few times since I picked it up 3 weeks ago.
I have a Tom Tom, that I have used in the past, and thought the built in GPS was going to be a better option to go with.
Maybe I'm "judging the book by it's cover", and I should give it time. It may be better then my very first impression.

Okay, I was able to get out for a drive tonight in the truck to try the GPS out.
Went the voice commend come on, you can adjust the volume. The left front speaker is where the voice commend comes from.
The "girls" voice is very computor sounding.
