Default Bad Line-x install? Also, PDF version of manual?

Love our new 2010 2500!!!!!

1) Is there a pdf version of the owners manual anywhere? Disappointed there wasn't on the DVD...and yes I know you can order a paper version but I want a pdf

2) The only Line-X dealer in my area kinda torqued me off. After they were done I walk out and their bright yellow "warranty badge" with their phone number is stuck to the side of my truck (inside the bed where they did the install of course). Ummm, I wouldn't let them put that on there to advertise their business if they paid me, I certainly don't want it on there when I pay them, and I didn't give them permission to do so. I asked for them to remove it and they first said I needed it for my warranty? Ummmm, that bites if true. Next they said it will leave a polyurethane mark, then backpedeled and said it should rub right off after it dries. I will see in a few days, but there is an oval there now for sure. A few things:

A) do others have this Line-x "warranty badge" on their trucks?
B) think the polyurethane will rub off after it dries?
C) I was so upset over the badge I neglected to notice two spots that looked like they bubbled during installation...or were drainage holes they covered up, or something, on the floor of the bed, directly in line with each other on the drivers side about 1/3 and 2/3 the way back. I find it hard to believe this is normal, but can I get them to fix it? They are about the size of a quarter. Or am I just being too ****?

Love the truck, not too happy with Line-X install.

Yeah they put that sticker on mine too. When I came out and saw it, I pulled it right off and threw it on the ground at there shop.It was stuck on with black silicone!Rubbed it right off.The bubbles you're seeing are the plastic caps in the bed I think. I removed mine before they sprayed and then popped them back in later. There's two in the bed and two larger ones behind the cab.

My guys in Jersey were very gracious about the badge, when I was viewing the job one guy came over with a sticker. A mylar sticky-backed oval. He asked me if I minded, he gave me 2 choices a big and small. My visceral reaction was no, and they were fine with that, but they were real nice and did a great job, so I let them put the SMALL one on the bottom left of my back window (i.e. on the glass). I showed it for a couple of weeks then pulled it off easily.

It's my understanding that as long as you maintain your receipt that is all that is required for the warranty. The badge in the bed might help shorten a warranty claim but is not required. I made sure the place that did mine uses the silver badge instead of the yellow one (looks better in my opinion) and I let them put it on. I have a tonneau cover anyway, so it hardly ever is visible. Since yours is off, I'm sure you can rub the silicone adhesive off pretty easily. I did put their yellow sticker on the rear window as advertisement for a week or so and then ditched it. They did a great job and gave me the credit $$ for the sticker so I was OK giving them that little perk.

As others have noted, the small 'bulges' are covers that were in the bed before, they aren't defects in your installation.

I have the line-x badge in the bed also. They didn't ask, just was there when I picked it up. They also put one on my back window which I promptly pealed off when I got home. I don't mind the one in the bed as I have a bed cover on it anyhow. I was happy to have it done as the dealship threw it in for free.

Thanks all...really appreciate it. Greggo, thanks for the links to the manuals, man, my google foo is weak!

I did find other discussions at other places about people hating the warranty badge too and removing it. I am sure my adhesive will come off...when it thaws. Yup, snow today. grrrrrr.

Anyway, yeah, that makes sense on the little plastic caps causing the bumps. Silly me. It would have been a great idea to pop em out and put them back, but oh well. Next truck.

Actually, had it been the silver sticker I probably wouldn't have reacted so badly. Black truck, black bed, etc. and bright yellow logo don't mix! LOL

Again, thanks for all the great replies! And yes, I have my receipt and will keep that in case of any warranty claims!

Mines a nice silver. I do have a question. I had the bed spryed in November. Somehow I got two cuts on tail gate. It is peeling from tail gate. It appears it was never sanded. Other areas of liner, you can peel off. Im pissed. I had a viper lining on an older truck and it held up way better.

Suggestions. Pissed off owner

They stuck on one on in my bed like yours. Also a sticker on back window that I also promptly pealed off when I got home. I don't mind the one in the bed because I have a bed cover on all the time anyway. And the dealer paid for it so the whole thing was free to me. (I know, I paid for it somewhere in the purchase process.)
