I had the same problem when it started getting cold. I just went out first thing in the morning and checked the tire pressure. I think they where all around 30 psi. So I bumped them all up to 35 psi. After driving around for a while I checked the TPS reading in the EVIC and by hand and it showed 37-38 psi. I figured this was fine and left it this way and I have not had an issue since. Funny thing is my wives Jeep essentially has the same system and I haven't had a problem with it this year. The Jeep always wait's til we are on a road trip and then it goes off, it's annoying.

It is not bad to run tires at low pressures especially if you have snow on the ground. It gives the tire a better footprint for traction. Off road I have run at 12 PSI(Before TPMS) and didn't roll the tire off the rim.
