Just finished instaling my on my 2010 Quad Cab. I don't have the same gap at the top you show in your pics, but I do have that at the bottom...hmm.

I'm going to add another set of screws but after I re-do them with something to protect the paint (after reading this thread).

The more I look at it the more it looks like its wrong. Maybe they changed the wheel well liner and forgot to change the splash guards? I don't know......its wierd how nicely the splash guard follows the surface of the wheel well liner on the front, that its odd they wouldn't ensure the same kind of fit in the rear. The gap where the contour is on the back flap is already filled with frozen slush since it creates a pocket between it and the wheel well liner.

Does anyone know the part numbers for a certainty? I got 2 part numbers from the Mopar parts catalogue for the '09 Ram but when I went into the dealer he said it was the incorrect number and ordered the rear guards I have on the truck now. Wondering if Dodge/Ram changed the splash guard and the '10-'11 have a different wheel well liner?

Note: I was just browsing the internet and came across this site. Don't know how reliable the info is but it says this part fits the 2010-2011 Ram only. Guess I will be calling the dealer tomorrow.

Yup, thats the rear splashguard thats on there. Very strange. Seems counterproductive to have a space that would collect salt/slush/ice/dirt/stones etc and hold it against the vehicle when the purpose of the splash guards to to try and keep all that junk from spraying up all over the body.

Know what you mean about ice build up.. Live up in Northern Canada. I’ve been running with Vortex Splash Guards on my Dodge over the winter .. they’re holding up fantastic. I’d seen them on the New Raptors. They look like the air extractors on the hood. Designed to cool brakes and tires in hot summer. They match the styling lines on my grill too. They’ll build up with ice slush too like any flap will unlike molded , you just cick the flap and the ice rolles off ( I mean like and ice- tray once cracked ! ). Up here, when the conditions are right you can’t even chisel the ice out of molded flaps so for me its not an option. I didn’t have any good picks on my truck but got these off the net. They’ll accent the grills and styling lines on any truck an make it look aggressive ! ...
