Default Discount Tire

Has anyone ever used Discount Tire online? I found the tires I want on there and they are alot cheaper then I can get them from the local shop. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about there experience. Like how long did it take you to get your tires? Did you have any issues? I have never bought tires off the internet and just curious how people feel about it. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Discount tire is fantastic. I have been a customer for years. Even have their credit card. You can buy a new vehicle, go there and they will warrenty the oem tires which includes, no questions asked, road hazard replacement, for a minimal charge. I blew out one tire last year and it was a $130 to replace it but since I had it insured through discount tire, it was free. They also price match any other business and will not charge you to ship tires to their store. Hope this helps.

Bought some tires for one of our other cars there. My local store will match the online prices, so it never hurts to ask.

My local shop only has three and I have looked all over town. I was going to buy one from one shop and three from another but then I found Discount tire. I just wish they would tell me how long it was going to take to ship them to me. I leave on a road trip next Saturday and I want them on before I leave. I guess I am going to have to wait til tomorrow so I can call them and find out how long shipping is going to take.

Only has 3? And what, they can't get more? Usually they can get tires from their local warehouse the same day (around here)

I know it sounds stupid. I spent about an hour Friday calling all of the local tire shop's. The one that has three astually only has one and they have to get one from one of there othere shops. No one has 4, sounds like poor inventory skills to me. Had someone had four Friday they would have been on my truck now. They can get the fourth but it is going to be a few days so I figured I would look online.

I used them just the other day for tires for my wifes car. Great customer service and the prices were more than reasonable, and they ship for free if sent to a prefered installer, or however the call them.

I don't know about you guys but around here, we have two reputable tire shops (Town Fair Tire, and VIP) that will beat all internet pricing, which is great because once they beat it they also include free lifetime balance, rotations, snow tire and tire dismounts, and alignments with a purchase of 4 tires.. Seems like a no-brainer to me.. My brother had VIP beat Discount Tire at $300 a piece for (4) 305/65/18 BFG A/T's, which retail for over $500 a piece. He now has all of those goodies I mentioned above for life of the tire. So yes, Discount Tire is amazing, but I only find them as useful as the local shops that are willing price match them. Again, you guys should ask around your different tire shops to see if their willing to be competitive to the internet, its sure worth a shot!

Brother's 2010 TOYota Tundra (2.5 leveling kit, 305/65/18 BFGs). Sweet!

These things are great if you buy your tires and plan on staying where you live. I am looking a buying her in VA and then I will living in NH in about 6 months. Unless I used a nationwide shop I would loose whatever benefit I would get from buying local.

In that case, you have an extremely rare case where this may just be the way to go!!
