Loaded question for sure. I would think the life of a truck owned by an 18 year old who drives the he!! out of it would be a lot different than the person who takes care of their things, keeps the maintenance up, and the paint waxed.

I sold my 1994 Laramie SLT with 87,000 miles for $6500 just last year. used the proceeds to buy a 2009 Laramie crew. That old truck was used, but well taken care of. Kept all the maintenance records in the back of the owners manual with dates. The buyer loved it and told me that's why he paid a premium price for a truck who's blue book was $4900. I hated to see that truck go, but with a new baby boy I need another set of doors.

I would hope my truck which is very well taken care of & garage kept will last at least 200K!

There are 3rd gen 5.7 rams running around with over 300,000 miles on them. As stated, it's more about how it is taken care of as it is build quality.

If you have the 09 with unlimited miles power train warranty. I would say the life would be for ever. Provided the body doesn't rust off first, but who needs doors and fenders.

For Dodges sake, I hope a long time since I plan to make the most of my lifetime powertrain warranty. 40K already in just over 1.5 years

Yea, one of those things you can not really answer. But the 3rd Gen Hemis would be a good gauge. Granted, the Hemi is a but different, but the other parts.... Like the tranny, rear axle, are the same.

I am not worried about it... When I start pushing 6 digits on the odometer I will be ordering a new truck. It will do 100K without an issue. I am almost 1/3 of the way there. No major mechanical issues. Had about 5 RRTs, downside to buying a new truck. I really broke one of my rules... That being do not buy a new vehicle in its first year.

Lots of decent built vehicles go 200k these days without much issue. These trucks seem pretty well engineered so I'd say 300k.I know of Ford/Dodge/GM fleets of trucks and vans that are going 300k before swapping out.

A car in Florida would be a lot easier going to 300k than one in Alaska.

I bought my truck with the lifetime warranty for the powertrain, and i paid extra for the maxcare lifetime warranty for everything else. As long as you keep the maintenance on it it should last for a very long time. I plan on keeping the vehicle till it becomes a classic and dodge will offer to buy it back
