Another great dealer (service) experience
During my last rotate and balance at a local Firestone, they notified me that i needed to take the vehicle into the dealer for a rack & pinon leak. I dropped it off today with Grapevine Dodge in Grapevine Texas to have it diagnosed and serviced.
The service advisor called me back about an hour later to let me know the leak came from the oil filter during the last oil change (also firestone).
Not only did they not charge for a diagnostic fee, but the truck was washed and ready to go out front when I arrived. It was certainly not their fault and would have not said a word about a half hour diagnostic fee. Not an indictment on Firestone either, I have light maintenance performed there all the time.
Just thought you might want to know of some dealer service locations doing it the right way.
BTW, I'll use this as another shameless plug for a naughty and nice list sticky for dealer service locations!

Great dealer service. Firestone owes you one.

I'm glad you see the cup half full rather than half empty. Many of us, myself included, would see it differently. I'd be pissed off that, not only did the dealer screw up an oil change, but that I had to take time off and go back to them to have it corrected. That is why I do my own oil changes. If you can't trust them for an oil change, what can you trust them for?
