Rear bumper has rust as well... It's awful because i notice it every time i look at my truck.
I noticed it shortly after buying the truck and it did not spread in 1.5 years. I was away for just over half a year and the rust spread dramatically. I believe my frequent washing and waxing of the area was what was keeping it from spreading

Welllll, all good points. All I can say though is at 26 years old, I bought a $40,000 truck, with full lifetime warranty, expecting it to be an investment of sorts. Ie not wasting money on car problems, and having reliable peace of mind transportation hopefully for the next ten years.
If they dont wait on me hand and foot lol, I will sit outside their dealership with a big sign that says " Dealer doesnt honor warranties". We'll see how fast they fix things when their business is at stake. Not even joking.

6 months after I bought my 09 SLT Big Horn I had rust all over the front and back bumper. I'm currently on my 5th front and 2nd back. My 3rd front bumper didn't last more than 2 weeks w/o 4 quarter sized rust spots on it. I'm having my back one replaced again. This will be the last time. As difficult as it is for me to say, I think after my warranty is up in 9k miles I'll be in the market for a different brand.

OHH GOD! Say it ain't so! My younger brother has an 03 RAM and his rear bumper is TERRIBLE looking... rusty color...

I just put a chrome one on in replacement for my jacked up painted one. My father said Chrome was the way to go over painted (costed more too). I sure hope that I won't have this problem on my 2010 bumper

I`m on my 2nd 2010 dodge ram, (QC Sport Hemi 4x4)
its 8 months old, i`m now shopping for a new chevy truck.
Drove a couple over the weekend, i`m gettin ready to pull the trigger on the chevy and get away from dodge permenatly.
Over this past weekend, i`m hearing wheel bearings in the front starting to growel. (i wont have it fixed either)
This dodge isnt even a year old yet, and now this...???? And the rear diff howels terrible. (since day one)
Bye-bye dodge...!!! Never again...!
Though i do wanna say, its been fun hangin with you guys, but after i buy the chevy,
i will no longer be on the dodge forums. Take care, and good luck to all you guys.

Good luck with chev...

I have always had GM before, and will never buy one again. Hell I would not even take one if its given to me.

the last GM I had, had noise in the suspension front left, I had it in 10 times within warranty within the last 18 month of the warranty , GM replace lots of part but was never able to fix it. In the last month of the warranty I had it in 3 times, I even had GM customer service involve, hopping they would fix it before the end of warranty. after the 3trd time that month, the Gm rep suggested I went to another GM dealer thinking the initial dealer was just not competent, so I book an appointment at the next door dealer, but that was 5 days after my expiration date, and guest what, GM decided not to paid for the repairs by pretext that I was expired. I had to fight in court and still they got off without having to pay for everything since it was expired, even though I had 10 invoices showing the complaint, and dealer teck confirming noise every time...

So again good luck with your GM

GM bought your dealer and judge off...lol, thats why you lost your case...lol....just kiddin, but nonetheless, that sucks.
All in all, i have a pretty good dodge dealer that works on all my trucks and cars, (except my 70 T/A challenger, nobody touchs that car but me) BUT, my gripe is, all thats going wrong with these two 2010 dodge trucks i have, back to back, and they dont have sheit for miles on them. The QC hemi sport truck i have right now only has 15,000 miles on it, this thing isnt never gonna see 100,000 miles, it`ll be in the scrap yard before then. This thing is just falling apart day by day. I do every service recommened 500 miles before they`re due, i change my oil every 3,000 miles, 4 wheel alignment twice a year etc etc etc. I am VERY **** about maintainence and i dont beat on my vehicles either. No off roading at all. It nevers see`s dirt roads either. This truck has never been above 65mph. I baby my vehicles more than the average guy. I dont even let my WIFE drive my vehicles. Another issue, this transmission has got to be the worst transmission i have ever drivin. I`ve drove dodge`s all my life, but these 4th gen trucks are never gonna go the miles without huge issues that i`m not willing to pay for or deal with. I have a 2007 hemi charger, the tranny in that car is what they should be using in these trucks, now THAT 580 is a sweet tranny...!

Anyhow, i`m done with dodge trucks... i`ve definately bought my last.
So whether it be a ford chevy or a toyota, dodge will never get anymore money from ME for their sh:ty trucks.
I had a 2000 dodge 4x4 shortbed, what a POS that was. I shoulda learned with that one.
I bought a brand new 2005 hemi truck, the dealer had it longer than i did.
Lemon law`d that one, and won...!

I suppose they all have issues, but the ones i`m having with ALL these DODGE trucks i`ve had, are just unacceptable
Its time for a change
