Exclamation Pinon seal leak

Just got done changing oil in truck (27,000) and was under her looking things over. When I got to the rear I saw splatter marks on the fuel tank and underside of bed WTF??? Looked at the diff (yoke area) and sure enough the seal is going bad. Same thing happened on my 06 at about the same mileage. Not dripping on the ground yet just a nice circle spray from the yoke spinning. Pulled the plug to check fluid level and thats fine so far. And I do have a question for you all. I read the maintenance chart and it says @ 30,000 change plugs they changed that right or??? Thanks for any input on the plugs issue.

Same on my '05. Seal replaced under warranty but I don't think the pinion nut was torqued correctly. 15,000 miles later the pinion bearing disintegrated.
