Default Installing A double DIN stereo. What Do I Need To Cut??

I am getting the Pioneer AVIC-X920BT for my 2009 Ram 1500 with the center console. I know I have to do some cutting behind the dash. I am depolyed right now so I am not home to see my truck. If anyone has done this already or is in the process, can you please post pictures so I know what exactly I am supposed to cut and how much of a pain in the *** it's gonna be.

Thanks

I don't have any pics of it but it was cutting the lower bar that runs across right behind the trim. If you have a dremel tool with some of those disk wheels you'll be fine. Not too much of a pain at all. I don't think I cut the whole bar off. I think I did more of a wide notch - just enough to give the vertical hight needed.

Don't forget about the mounting kit - you can get it here:

If you're tapping into the factory harness you will need an adapter for that too.
