Default Windshield Air Whistling

Hello, I have just purchased an '09 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 4.7L about a month ago and have been noticing windshield air noise when driving when its windy out. Its not really a big deal but my '05 never did that and I was just wondering if anyone else has this or if its just my truck, perhaps its normal on the newer models because of new aerodynamic redesign? Its basically like a whistling sound...

Mine has the same thing. Haven't had it checked out yet as I haven't come up with an always repeatable way to reproduce it - seems to depend on the wind conditions I'm driving in.

I had a problem like this with my 2007 Ram, the sound was on the drivers side and would drive me nuts! I finally took it back to the dealer and there was a bad seal somewhere in the front wheel well on the drivers side... the air was blowing past and up around the glass somehow and making a crazy whistling noise. I almost didn't believe them but since it was warranty work I told them to go ahead and change whatever seals needed changing... and they fixed it!

Do any of you have the side window visors? I know the AVS ones on my dakota made that whistling noise in the right wind conditions.

Haven't noticed it on the Ram.

Did it to me for the first time today as well. I'm not concerned considering that this is the first time I've ever heard it and it was also the first time I've ever had to drive into 40MPH winds... Everything is going to sound different in that environment.

Yeah, mine does it everyday regardless of how windy it is, I think that it does it when my speed and the angle of the wind line up just right. I have no visors or anything....

Not to get everyone into a frenzy, but there is a problem with Chrysler/jeep/dodge vehicles not having the windshields sealed correctly. I see it alot on Jeeps. Not saying this is your case, but you should try and narrow down where the noise comes from
