Default yup

my last 2 trucks were diesel, been through this, did he cycle the pump, was it a bad batch of fuel? could be something simple but would you risk a 10000 dollar engine on something that could void warranty?

True. Not really trying to be a huge d*ck in my last post but he did mention that he took it to the dealer to have them look at it, so at this point warranty will cover it since the dealer replaced a "faulty" part and told him they think its normal. But I will say this, how many people seriously count the number of chimes when they start their trucks. I would think that something as important as the water separator would get a light on the dash or something. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't count.

Take out the chime module and replace it with a cowbell. "You can never have enough cowbell"....

I believe 5 chimes equals h2o in fuel, these days, chrysler seem to try to get out of paying valid claims. they will not pay for damage caused by contaminated fuel. could be faulty computer glitch, but i would hate to pay for a new engine.
