I did the rear swap to have dual exh. outlets. I tried for 6 months to find one on craigslist or e-bay but no luck.

Bought the primed bumper cover (w/0 step pad & brackets) from a local mopar discount dealer for $195 and had it painted for $135. The bumper price increased to $295 the day after my order so that's what your looking at now.

Sold my OEM bumper on e-bay for $160 net. Took a while.

My interpretation was that you can paint anything, it just requires specific prep work. Good prep work will support and promote adhesion.

Man, I wish I lived down near NM, I would take those chrome bumbers off your hands. I have the SLT and would love to have the fog lights and the exhaust cutouts in the rear. Shipping to Alaska would probably be too much for me to worry about. Were you planning on selling your old chrome bumbers?

There is a diagram of the parts you need. I got that from Jimsautoparts.com, but I have heard bad reviews about the company so I wouldnt recommend buying from them. Id check out the mopar stores online or your dealership.

A. 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 with Sport Package
B. 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 without Sport Pkg

can you tell me which parts I would need? Will I need to order all of these 1-9 and how many of the parts, some of them appear to be clips so I'm sure multiple are needed, just some insight would be great.

I am pretty sure that you need all of the parts. A guy on Ramforumz just bought all of them from one of the vendors.
This is his statement about how much everything costs...."Parts were 1421$, plus i had to pay customs fee of 360$ than paint and install is running me around 1 grand.... grand total of 2781$ ..... ". Idk if you can take out the customs fee for shipping to Canada, but your still looking at a large amount of money for some bumpers. Good luck though. It might be easier to find someone that will take the chance on painting over chrome.

there are a lots of parts involve's to put a sport bumper on a SLT, an easy solution is to get the TRX4 front bumper with fog and get it painted to match the truck, it will give you the look of the sport with out having to swap all parts.
