The air we breath is actually 83 % nitrogen, you think an additional 17% is gonna make a difference? I have tires over three years old on my car and by the time they rot I would be needing a new set.
Well like stated before, it's not the everyday driver that benifits from this. It's the cold weather that hurts your tire and the nitrogen prevents it. It keeps your tires from loosing pressure and it keeps moisture out, which can freeze and cause shaking issues in colder weather. It's only worth the money if you're living somewhere with really cold winters. For an extra $40, you're certainly not hurting anything. So for people who live in Alaska or Canada or North Dakota, it might be worth it. If you live in Texas, it's probably not for you.
I agree with TDTIPMO, when I lived in Alberta, Canada with their -30 temps it would seem like I had a flat spot on my tires when driving from all the moisture freezing...that is until the tires warmed up. After a couple winters of always feeling like I had a flat tire, I switched to Nitrogen and the problem went away. So only real benifit is for colder climates.
a friend of mine took his car off the lot something like 4 years ago? maybe more. the car came with nitrogen filled tires. He says he has not once had to check or add air to the tires. I think that alone justifies nitrogen vs normal air
They have a machine that does it somehow but how come you guys are paying so much....dealer here wants 29 plus taxes. Most places are like 20 bucks cash.
