Default Buy MagnaFlow Cat-Back?

I'm looking at buying a MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust system from a performance shop. Does anyone have part # 16870 installed on their 4th Gen. I have a 2010 SXT w/single out and want to change to this dual system and am looking for feedback. I want an exhaust that is decent on idle with little to no drone on highway but sounds good off the light. I spend about 70/30 hyw/city driving so don't want an annoying drone. I haven't found a comparable exhaust system with good reviews that is available in Ontario or just over the border in NY.

I don't have the cat back system but I do have the 24" magnaflow. I have the stock duals out back and just changed the muffler. It is great. Quiet at idle, you can hear it just a little at cruising to remind you that you have a hemi. However, when you let it go it has a nice roar to it. I looked awhile ago at the cat back and think it has a 22" if im not mistaken. Can't see that being much louder. I love the sound of my truck now.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll go with this system. I'm just concerned about the drone as most of my driving is highway. Although most of the reading I've done points to flowmaster as a culprit for highway drone. Also amazed that no one else on this forum has this system. I guess there's alot of factory duals out there..

I went with the, SI/SO 18" magnaflow and it's just right for me. The only thing that drives me batty is the MDS drone. As for the little amount of highway drone...I just turn up the radio a hair .

Default No Drone

Go with the Corsa by DB Performance, zero drone but sounds awesome when stomping on it. Have a clip on you tube.

I believe that's the identical system with the 5" polished tips. How is it with MDS on and how much did you pay? They quoted me $775.00 + tax Cnd. installed. You had the stock dual exhaust on before, how does it compare?

Why cat-back? Not necessary.....just use the stock pipe and replace the muffler and the pipes after the muffler....cheaper and just as good.

Its not bad with the MDS really, you can hear it but its nowhere as loud as the Corsa system I had on my 07 Ram. I think I paid around $600. This system is so much nicer then stock and the 5" tips are sweet!
