Default 6" Lift?

I'm trying to decide if I should lift my truck 6". I want it really bad, but I've heard I'll lose what little gas mileage I have and that you have to change how you drive. I've tried looking it up, but the information is hard to find and I don't know anyone who has ever had their truck lifted this high. Any advice?

Bigger lift leads to larger tires which leads to worse mileage. It's unavoidable.

You will lose a few MPG depending on your driving habits. I drive the same now as i did before and i only lost 1-1.5 mpg but i have always been a conservative driver. I'm currently getting 11.5- 12 mpg but thats because i live on an island and there is no open highway driving. When i am on the highway often and not stuck in traffic i average 14+....

If you want it... get it, you'll forget about the mpg lost because you will love the way your truck looks and performs

Here is mine

Don't worry about the gas mileage!Like BigRed said, the joy of driving it,will overcome the loss of mileage.......

IF you bought your truck for gas mileage sell it now and get a Prius!

I'm not worried about the gas mileage it was just an example of something that would change. I had a Corolla so if I was worried about gas I wouldn't have traded for a hemi. I'm more curious about driving and handling changes. Do I have to take turns slower, how much rougher is the ride, etc.? Thanks for all the feedback. I'm gonna get Rough Country it just depends on finances when I get it.
