R/T Clone?

R/T Clone?
Hi, I got my loaded, Hemi, 09 regular cab, short bed, 2wd back in September, when I traded my 07 Sierra for it. Best trade I ever did, IMHO! Anyway, they didn't have any R/T's in stock and I wasn't about to order a new 11 for $40K, so I've been doing lots of research and am pretty set on a cloned R/T! I have a question for any of you Sport or R/T guys out there? How do the Sport and R/T front fascia mount up? I know the fascia doesn't overlap the bumper and I haven't gone to the dealer and checked to see how it mounts up. I was hoping that someone on here has maybe done a clone already? Thanks

You must have a SLT? I hate to tell you, but to do all the bumpers, mirros, handles, gears, TQ converter, grill, ect will put you in for just about as much as buying it. And we have not even talked about the interior...
A new R/T is 32K.... TOPS.

Yep, it's an SLT, but I don't want the interior, mirrors or TQ. I just want it all blacked out, except the wheels. I don't like the murdered look. I was thinking just the bumpers, grille, handles and wheels. I've been going back and forth about doing it. I may just get a chrome cutout bumper and chrome wheel skins and be done with it. I sometimes think I'm getting too old to mod trucks, lol. Figures on the price, local dealer said high 30's, low 40's out the door...

From where i come from, if you`re payin THAT much for a new R/T truck, thats called RAPE...!!!!
Here in upstate ny, $30,000/$32,000 very common for R/T trucks, sometimes less.
You`re NEVER to old to mod your truck...lol, so get MODDIN...lol.
You`ll spend a ton on NEW sport bumpers.
Check salvage yards for parts.

I just like the look of the Sports I guess. Body color matched everything 
I found a new aftermarket sport front bumper thingy on ebay for $200-$250 shipped. Found a couple of rear painted dual exhaust bumpers on ebay from $150-$300 shipped. Brilliant Black grille for $150 shipped. But I also found a chrome dual exhaust bumper about 50 miles away from me for a good price. Think I'll just go buy that tomorrow and leave all my chrome on the truck!
