Daytime driving lights/ help
On my 1500 4x4 laramie 09 model....
when the light switch is to the left the lights come on when i start the truck and go off when i shut it off...
I took the truck to the dealer last week and had the 12000 check up... here in Italy...
Today it was foggy out so i decided to turn on the fog lights..(push the light button in the middle) Fog lights did not turn on.. i was like WTF.. i got flashed by a couple of drivers passing me.... No lights on..
I turned the switch to the ON position and no problems lights worked and so did the fogs... what would cause the lights not to come on in the daylight mode??
What could cause this? I looked in the manual to see if there was a fuse or something but found nothing..
Any takers on whats wrong...
thanks in advance

Never seen a car that you could turn the driving lights on when the headlights were not on. Sounds normal to me.
The far left (A) position only turns the headlights on when the light sensors say that they should be on, or when you turn on the wipers if you have that option turned on.

Also says this about the fog lights:
The fog lights will operate only when the parking lights

Might want to read through your manual to understand how everything works

No idea where the sensor is
The light sensor is in the middle of the dash up near the windshield. Looks like a little nipple thing.
Next time you go to the dealer, have them check the level setting of the sensor. They can adjust it up and down. Yours might just be adjusted so they don't come on unless it is really dark out.
I have a lot of trees where I live that cover the roads. So my lights come on and go off quite a bit. So when I am following someone it looks like I am flashing my headlights at them to get out of my way. It is just the sensor kicking in and out.
BTW I have a car (2006 Rav4) that you can turn on only the fogs. No headlights needed, but the running lights need to be on. On my wife's 2009 Rav4 you need to have the headlights on.

As oldjeep said you can turn your driving lights on when:
- the parking lights are on
- the headlights are on (lowbeam).

if you go into the set up menu you can turn on a headlight delay so that the light done flicker as much

The delay you are talking about is for how long the headlights will stay on after you shut it off
