$400 for a tuner to fully disable the MDS,
orrrrrrrrrrrr, just drop it into 5th gear costs you nothing to shut off the MDS while driving in slower speeds.
When you get back up to highway speeds, kick the OD back on and allow the MDS to do what its supposed to do...save gas

x3

I hate the MDS system in town on roads anywhere from 30 - 40mph. It's just annoying.

I've been doing the 5th gear thing myself as of late.

Own a 2010 ram. Eco caused a hesitation and now the check engine light is on and the ECO will not come on. Also feel a vibration at low speed. Going to the dealer to be fixed.

Probably an O2 sensor problem and not related to MDS. I am pretty sure if any engine problem pops up ECO mode will not function.
