New mods...Challenger hood, Headlights....
I have heard many people buy these recon headlights and then use stock or sylvania aftermarket bulbs and complain about the light output. Thats why I asked how he liked his with the hid bulbs in the projectors compared to the stock headlights. I am looking to do the exact same as him this spring and buy the headlights and tail lights also. I am betting that these recon headlights will be awesome with hid low beams in them.

I guess I'm hesitant because of all the horror stories you hear about guys who do the HID swap and now lights are flickering, don't come on all the time, etc. I read something somewhere that said it had to do with the PCM looking for a certain voltage draw from the stock lamps and since both the HID's and LED's draw so much less the computer thinks there's a problem and flakes out...

Thats what I wanted to hear! I have asked several people on other forums with those headlights how they liked them with the hid's in the low beams and no one would answer me.
Be aware that your headlights are connected to your traction control curcit. When you loose traction, the headlights will flicker to let you know you`re loosing traction. (this feature was put in for people that have loud radio syndrome when driving at night...lol) This may be the reason that some HID`s are flickering. This can also set codes as well, due to voltage drops or spikes by using HID lighting. Some HID kits are just plain junk and have voltage issues regardless.
Very nice. I'd de-badge and get that front ram powder coated black, and it would look super clean! I love the Black but up here we get so much salt on the road my truck looks white pretty much the whole winter. But that truck is awesome lookin'.
Thanks for the info!
