Mine downshifts upon deacceleration and now that I'm used to it, I really like it. Saves my brakes a little. I actually think they have it set up just about right. I'm just a little suprised that they don't say anything about it in their ads or anywhere else that I can find. I would have thought there was something wrong if it wasn't for this forum.

It does downshift a little aggresively and I am still suprised by how aggresively sometimes but I am mostly used to it.

When you guys say aggressively, is this thing thumping or banging into gear. I have a 2006 Ford F150 King Ranch and on deceleration upon hitting the gas again the damn truck slams back into gear...... I hate it, that's why I'm on this forum lurking and wanting to buy a Ram.

Actually, the off roaders and racers here seem to think it shifts too "soft".

What is referred to on this thread is the tendency to downshift during steady state cruising in OD from light acceleration or during shallow uphill grades etc.

With my superchip I have toned that down somewhat but it's a little tricky getting the shift points set.
