Default 09-11 MOPAR 2" Lift

I called my local dealer and was told Mopar offers a 2" leveling kit and 2" lift. The 2" lift is $900, but includes front Bilstein struts, new rear springs, rear Bilstein shocks, brake line brackets, and rear stabilizer bar parts. I know many, if not most, have problems with shuddering after installing a leveling kit. Wouldn't this lift have the same problems with shuddering without lowering the front diff, like 4" lift kits do? Wouldn't this kit need a little but of a diff drop too? I included a link to the MOPAR Performance Catalog. Page 245 in the catalog link below.

I wouldn't spend the money on a full out 2" suspension lift..kinda stupid imo..I ran a leveling kit with no problems..you could also get the adjustable bilsteins instead of a spacer, which would probably work better..better yet just get a 4" or 6" suspension to begin with bc you always end up wanting to go higher haha...rough country now makes a 1.25" body lift that you can add to a leveling kit which is affordable and would look nice

guys are having problems with the bilsteins as well. i want my wife to be able to get in my truck higher is better but when you put close to 80 miles a day on it a 4 or 6 inch lift wont work for me. im looking to raise the front to level with the back and maybe a 285 70 r17 tire nothing crazy.

I ran a 2.5 inch spacer and didn't notice any shimmying really...a 2.5 inch spacer on stock suspension components is a little too stressful anyway..i think if you had 1.5 inch lift in the front with a spacer or springs then you wouldn't have any problems though. But if you have the money to spend for 2" then the suspension lift should be a better ride.

Basically, all I want to do is raise my truck a couple inches. I have a wife and 3 kids; 4 inches it too much. What it boils down to is I'm very concerned about having the dreadful shudder after installing a 2/2.5 inch leveling kit or installing the longer Bilstein shocks.

I'm running 285/70/17 right now on a stock suspension and they fit fine with no rubbing.

yeh i understand where you are coming from...what i have seen is that some people run them without any problems and some that have a lot of problems..I guess it's a hit or miss kind of thing. But two spacers are pretty cheap and you could get a 1.5" one so you could maybe lessen the chance of shudders. But you may be fine with a taller one. Most of the shudders that people complained about were occuring when in 4x4 mainly.

I just took 1.5 inch spacers off my truck, you can have them for $50 shipped. That should get you pretty close to level. PM if interested.

so i dont understand why you cant put the 2 lift on the trx if it replaces the struts up front they would be the same if its a trx or slt right. thats the only different. also does any one know if the front struts are adjustable of fixed to the 2" lift setting.
