Default Antenna Swap

Found this carbon fibre antenna on the internet and thought I would give it a try, I had the billet ones before on other vehicles but didnt like that everyone else had them as well. This is just somthing different and I am going out of town tomorrow so I will see how the reception is affected.

Yes just unscrew the factory one and replace with this one, it comes with several adaptors for different vehicles.

Is the purpose of these just aesthetics or are they supposed to work better than the OEM ones?

Aesthetics... and you dont have the worry of it bending and breaking in car washes or the annoying sound of it hitting the beams overhead when drving in a parkade. But mainly looks.

Looks good, I like it! Plus the car wash makes good sense...

I'd call that the primary function of my antenna... don't use it for the radio, but definitely use it as an indicator that I'm likely to shave the paint off of my roof in a garage!

Where did you buy the antenna? Found one on ebay. Thanks.

I'm going to add one to my truck. I am also going to add the following:
Chrome fuel door
Honeycomb grill
interior ambient lighting

I'm also considering adding a moon roof.

I took my antenna off after about 20 minutes. The reception sucks big time.
